Worship times:
8:30 am - Traditional - Sanctuary

The name “Palm Sunday” comes from a story in the Bible (Matthew 21:1–11) in which Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem with crowds laying palm branches and cloaks to welcome him as the Messiah.
Palm Sunday marks the last Sunday in Lent and the Sunday before Easter.

Maundy Thursday | 04.02
Worship times:
6:30 pm - Contemporary - The Foundry
7:30 pm - En Español - el SantuarioWe will share communion together in this service.
Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday, is the first of the three days of solemn remembrance of the events leading up to and immediately following the crucifixion of Jesus.
The word maundy comes from the Latin mandatum, which means commandment. It refers to the commandment Jesus gave His disciples after He washed their feet to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34). This is also the night of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ.

Good Friday | 04.03
Worship times:
6:30 pm - Traditional - Sanctuary
7:30 pm - en Español - el SantuarioNo communion will be served during this service.
Good Friday focuses on God’s purpose of loving and redeeming the world even in the face of human rejection and cruelty through the crucifixion of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The term “good” is a bit of a misnomer, as it represents the day that Jesus endured a huge amount of suffering, and died on the cross as the final sacrifice for our sins. It’s a Holy Day because God was drawing the world to Himself in Christ.
We will leave this service in silence to reflect on the Death of Christ and its meaning in our lives.

What is easter?
The journey to Easter begins on Ash Wednesday as we pause to reflect on our mortality during this holy day of repentance. Lent follows with 40 days of surrendering our will to the Lord.
Holy Week is the 7 days before Easter, when we observe the intense time of joy, betrayal, and mourning that encompassed Jesus’ final days on Earth.
Easter is a time of great joy and hope for Christians, as we remember the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the promise of salvation. Jesus died on the cross to save humanity from sin, and then rose from the dead three days later. The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of the Christian faith and represents the hope of eternal life.

Nursery is available on Sundays during all services, and on Good Friday for children 0-5 years old.
There will be no nursery available on Maundy Thursday.

Come as you are! Jesus is more interested in your heart than in how you look. Here at Dripping Springs Methodist Church, many people dress up a little (think business casual) on Easter Sunday because it’s traditional for their individual families, but please wear clothing that feels comfortable and appropriate to you. You’re welcome here.
