10th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner

In an enduring tradition of fellowship and gratitude, the Dripping Springs Methodist Church will host its 10th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner this Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This cherished event welcomes everyone in the community—those who may be celebrating alone, as well as families who need assistance with the holiday meal. It’s an invitation for everyone to share in the spirit of Thanksgiving, building connections and sharing a homemade meal.

The DS Methodist Church’s is committed to serving the community with 35-40 volunteers stepping up to plan and serve the meal. Volunteers work to ensure everything is ready, from cooking to setting up and welcoming guests. With their help, the church expects to serve around 125 people this year, offering not only a full Thanksgiving meal but also a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

“Our goal is to ensure that no one has to spend Thanksgiving alone or go without a meal,” says Pastor Adam, “We want to provide a space where everyone has a place to go where they feel welcome, loved, and cared for.”

This year, as in years past, registration is necessary to help the volunteers prepare for the meal and to ensure we can serve everyone comfortably. Those wishing to attend can register online by clicking on the button below, or contact the church office at (512)894-7123 before Sunday, November 24th.
