Christ and The Community

Hello Church Family!

This week, as we continue our sermon series on being Transformed by Christ, we’ll explore the opening segment of the Sermon on the Mount—a passage where Jesus unveils His vision of God’s Kingdom breaking into our world.

In Matthew 5:13-16, He uses the compelling images of salt and light to illustrate the vital role His followers are to play. As salt preserves and enriches, we are called to uphold goodness in a world that often falls into moral decay, ensuring that the values of truth and love remain intact.

Likewise, as light dispels darkness and reveals hidden truths, our lives should radiate the presence of God, guiding and inspiring others. This passage not only calls us to a deep, personal transformation but also challenges us to actively manifest God’s Kingdom in our daily interactions and communities.

Grace and Peace,

Rev. Adam Thornton
