Does God Care About My Relationships?
When you hear the word fellowship what comes to mind? Do you think of gatherings such as potlucks, barbecues, progressive dinners, after-service lunches, and the like? Have you considered that there is more to fellowship? What if fellowship is about more than eating together?
In Acts 2:42, Luke paints a picture of the followers of Christ engaging in fellowship, praying together, eating together, and devoting themselves to the Apostle’s teaching. In short, the early church lived their lives together. The word for fellowship in Greek literally means partnership. It carries with it a familial tone and involves participation, contributory help, and is anchored in a fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
This week, we will be looking at Acts 2:42, and also at 1John 1:6-7 to understand the true meaning of fellowship and our part in it.
Grace & Peace,
