Made for More - Community

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

- Romans 12:4–5

This week, as we continue our Stewardship Campaign, we turn to Paul’s words in Romans 12:4–5, where he reminds us that just as each part of the body has its unique role, so too each of us belongs to one another in Christ. Our faith was never meant to be lived in isolation. The truth is that we are stronger, healthier, and more faithful when we walk together. The early church in Acts 2:42–47 gives us a beautiful picture of this reality: a community devoted to teaching, fellowship, prayer, and mutual care, where God’s Spirit moved powerfully in their midst.

This Sunday, as we focus on community, we will reflect on how God calls us to be a people who share life deeply, encourage one another in love, and embody the truth that we are made for community.

Blessings,

Rev. Dr. Adam Thornton

Senior Pastor
