The Path of Discipleship - Learning From the Master

This week, as we continue our sermon series, The Path of Discipleship, we find ourselves in Matthew 11:28-30, with Jesus offering a gracious invitation to all who are weary: “Come to me…and I will give you rest.”

What Jesus is describing is not so much the lightening of immediate burdens, but rather an entirely different way to live. To take Him up on his invitation is to follow and become His apprentice—learning His way of humility, service, and love. As we take on His yoke, we discover a rhythm of life that is both deeply formative and surprisingly restful. This divine apprenticeship shapes our hearts to reflect the Master’s own, not through striving, but by walking closely with the One whose yoke is easy and burden light.

Blessings,
