Our Father - The Forgiveness of God

Church Family—

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray, “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” (Matthew 6:12). Forgiveness is not simply a moral obligation, it is a defining mark of the Christian life. It reveals the transforming power of Christ at work within us.

True forgiveness is more than a discipline we strive to master; it is the natural outflow of a heart reshaped by God’s grace. As recipients of His mercy, we are called to extend that same mercy to others. This week, we’ll explore how forgiveness, while often difficult, becomes a living testimony to the reality of Christ’s redeeming love in our lives.

Come join us this Sunday as we consider what it means to pray these words sincerely, and how God’s forgiveness equips us to forgive others.

Blessings,

Rev. Dr. Adam Thornton

Senior Pastor
