The Gospel

In Ephesians, chapter two, the Apostle Paul lays out the essence of the gospel by which you and I were saved out of this present evil age. In verses one through ten, the Apostle masterfully reveals three aspects that make up the message we have received. First, there is the recognition of our own sinfulness. We are bent towards self-gratification and enslaved to our own impulses. Second, the work of Jesus Christ on the cross has freed us from the shackles of the sinful life so that we might live in and for Christ. Third, we are re-created to bring God glory, and that glory is revealed in our transformation from self-serving, inwardly-focused human beings, to born-again self-less servants, surrendered to Christ.

I am looking forward to our time together in worship as we explore the call of Christ to come to him and be transformed.

Grace & Peace,

Rev. Adam Thornton
