The Renewal of All Things

From the opening pages of Genesis to the closing vision of Revelation, the Bible tells one continuous story of a Creator who refuses to give up on His creation. This message takes us on that sweeping journey, from the beauty of the garden to the brokenness of a world fractured by sin, and ultimately to the breathtaking promise of a new heaven and a new earth. At the heart of it all is a question that every generation has wrestled with: why is there so much sorrow, so much suffering, so much corruption in the world? The answer is not that God has abandoned us, but that He has been working through history, through Abraham, through the prophets, and finally through Jesus Christ, to renew all things. Revelation 21 gives us a vision of what that renewal looks like: a holy city where God dwells among His people, where every tear is wiped away, where death and pain and mourning are no more. This is not wishful thinking. It is the guaranteed promise of the One who calls Himself the Alpha and the Omega. As we sit with this vision, we are invited to ask ourselves whether we are living in light of it, and whether the people around us know that this hope exists for them too.
