It Is Finished
“It is finished…”
These final words of Jesus on the cross invite us into the fullness of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice. In them, we witness the completion of the eternal work of redemption—the fulfillment of the promise of *Emmanuel*, God with us. By becoming human, setting aside His divine privileges, and taking on the posture of a servant, Jesus reveals the depth of God’s love and the extent to which He goes to dwell among us. This act of self-emptying not only redeems us, but also models the life we are called to live as followers of Christ.
On this Palm Sunday, as we enter into the beginning of Jesus’ passion, we look ahead to the cross, remembering the end of His suffering and the glorious completion of God’s redeeming work.
Grace and Peace,
