I Thirst
Hello Church Family!
In John 19:28-29, we find Jesus in the final moments of His suffering. The end is near, and death is just moments away. Yet even in the midst of unimaginable pain, Jesus remains fully aware, fully surrendered, and fully in control. He knows the mission He came to accomplish, and He sees it through to the very end.
When life becomes unbearable, many of us feel the urge to give up. In seasons of suffering, it’s difficult to find purpose or hold on to hope. But in these powerful words from the cross, “I thirst,” Jesus shows us what it means to endure with purpose and to find redemption in the midst of pain.
Today, we reflect on the fifth of Jesus’ seven statements from the cross; a simple phrase that carries deep meaning and speaks to both His humanity and His mission.
Grace and Peace,
