Mother’s Day - Faithful
Hello Church Family!
This Sunday, we gather with gratitude to celebrate Mother’s Day, a time set aside to honor the women who have nurtured, guided, and poured out their love in ways that shape us more deeply than we often realize. And as we reflect on the gift of mothers, we turn our hearts to one of the most faithful examples in all of Scripture: Mary, the mother of Jesus. From the angel’s announcement to the shadow of the cross, and even beyond the resurrection, Mary remains a powerful witness of steadfast love, courageous faith, and unwavering presence.
As we worship together this weekend, we’ll give thanks for the mothers in our lives and consider what we might learn from Mary’s example about commitment, sacrifice, and the quiet strength that often marks those who lead with love. May this time of reflection not only be a celebration, but also a reminder of the sacred call to nurture and support one another in Christ.
Grace and Peace,
Rev. Adam Thornton
