Encountering Jesus - Born Again

Hello Church Family!

Can you imagine encountering Jesus in person? As you read through the Gospels, you witness 5 different responses that people have when encountering Jesus:

-Rejection and Opposition (Example: The Pharisees)
-Skepticism and Doubt (Example: When Jesus goes back home to Nazareth and is rejected)
-Curiosity (Example: Nicodemus)
-Fear (Example: Demons)
-Worship and Transformation (Example: the disciples and so many others)

This week as we continue our series,  Encountering Jesus, we read one of the most popular (if not the most popular) passages in the whole Bible. John 3 recounts an interaction between Jesus and Nicodemus.

In the shadow of night, out of fear and curiosity, Nicodemus comes to Jesus because he can't help but accept that Jesus is more than an ordinary human being. In his curiosity, Nicodemus found so much more than just answers to his questions. Instead, he was invited to whole new way of living. In the darkness he was introduced to the Light.

We all come to Jesus from different perspectives - whether it is in opposition, skepticism, fear, curiosity, or worship. We know that every encounter with Jesus has a chance for Transformation.

This week, we invite you to explore how honest questions and curiosity can lead to Transformation and relationship with Jesus. Remember, Jesus will meet you right where you are at, and it is up to you how you approach this encounter with Him.

Grace and Peace,
